However, if you want to visit the nearby Tenry\u016b-ji Temple, you will have to pay an entrance fee of 500 JPY. Also, the temple is open between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>4. You will have to disembark at Saga-Arashiyama Station and from there you&#8217;ll have to walk another 10 minutes to the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ride from Kyoto will cost approximately&nbsp;240&nbsp;JPY and it will take around 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Good to know:<\/strong> I strongly recommend getting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrailpass.com\/?utm_source=aff&amp;utm_medium=cpa&amp;utm_campaign=dailytravelpill&amp;affiliate=dailytravelpill0280395001570192276\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><strong>JR Pass<\/strong><\/a> if you are planning to travel inside the Kansai area (<a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/one-day-osaka-itinerary\/\"><strong>Osaka<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/kyoto-one-day-trip-itinerary\/\"><strong>Kyoto<\/strong><\/a>, Kobe, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/nara-day-trip-itinerary\/\"><strong>Nara<\/strong><\/a>).
