If you\u2019re lucky enough to visit between March and July, you\u2019ll get to see the river in all its glory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if you\u2019re looking for cool places in Iceland, then Studlagil Basalt Canyon is one of the spots to visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>23. The bridge is located in Sandvik and is a must-visit whilst exploring Iceland. However, Fagrifoss is one of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/best-waterfalls-in-iceland\/\">the lesser-known waterfalls in the country<\/a><\/strong> due to its remote location within the highlands.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To reach the waterfall you\u2019ll require a 4&#215;4 and the road can be pretty bumpy, but you\u2019ll be thoroughly rewarded once you get here.\u00a0Fagrifoss is one of the highest waterfalls in Iceland with a height of 80m, and there\u2019s a fantastic viewpoint here. You may even get the views all to yourself, as its location is quite tricky to find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>8. You can even get married here which would be quite the experience! Not only is the church itself stunning, but its location is also beautiful. Budakirkja is set upon a lava field, so the landscape is incredibly unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can visit this incredible place as part of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.getyourguide.com\/reykjavik-l30\/snaefellsnes-peninsula-natural-park-guided-day-tour-t408006\/?partner_id=D55PDG5&amp;utm_medium=online_publisher&amp;placement=content-middle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">a day-trip from Reykjavik<\/a><\/strong>. Other stops include Berserkjahraun, Kirkjufell and Arnarstapi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>7. Also known as the Icelandic Museum of Witchcraft; Galdrasafnid can be found within the country\u2019s Westfjords region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two floors at the museum and tons of displays and exhibits that depict sorcery and the history of witchcraft. You\u2019ll get to see magical staves, the iconic (but unpleasant) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/N%C3%A1br%C3%B3k\">necropants<\/a><\/strong>, and a variety of horrible-looking creatures. This includes the Tilberi and zombies! During your visit, you\u2019ll also get to learn about some of the horrors that occurred during the 1600s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>6. It\u2019s quite the experience as you can even head into the little huts and explore the interiors too.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>5. Although the majority of hot springs are no longer a secret in Iceland, this one is and if you\u2019re lucky &#8211; you might get it all to yourself.\u00a0Located close to the iconic secret lagoon of Iceland, Hrunalaug is one of the prettiest hot springs in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With raw beauty, striking views, and warm temperatures, it\u2019s the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring! The entrance fee works by honor system, but I\u2019d recommend paying it as it helps the farmer upkeep the hot spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>4. It\u2019s a seven-tier waterfall that\u2019s located in East Iceland and is one of the most beautiful falls in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a cumulative height of around 90m, Klifbrekkufossar is one of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/best-waterfalls-in-iceland\/\">highest waterfalls in Iceland<\/a><\/strong> and doesn\u2019t disappoint!\u00a0However, you can only visit this beautiful place during the summer months as the road is impassable during the winter. This is because the falls are located down a mountain pass.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>3. With its otherworldly landscape, towering canyon walls, and cascading waterfall &#8211; the beauty of this place is unrivalled.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The canyon is around 100m deep and 2km long, and as you can imagine &#8211; it\u2019s quite a breathtaking sight. Stakkholtsgja Canyon is another site that\u2019s only accessible during the summer months and requires a 4&#215;4. From the parking lot, the hike will take around two hours in total for you to walk into the canyon and back.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>2. These structures have been arranged in regard to pagan beliefs, making this place really interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once its construction has been completed, you\u2019ll be able to see the light captured between the \u2018gateways\u2019. Many people try to time their visit to Arctic Henge at night in the hope of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailytravelpill.com\/the-best-time-to-see-the-aurora-borealis-in-iceland\/\">witnessing the beautiful Northern lights<\/a><\/strong> in the background.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>1. Not only that, but as you relax in the warm waters, you\u2019ll get breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.\u00a0There aren\u2019t many facilities in the surrounding area, but there is one hotel and a small changing cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Final thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Iceland is one of my favorite destinations in the world. It&#8217;s the perfect combination between beautiful landscapes, incredible culture and history.
