After living in Bali for a few months, we decided it was time to explore some of the nearby islands, so we decided to spend a few days in Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningang. We chose a nice guesthouse in Nusa Lembongan and we rented a scooter to explore both islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though it’s smaller, Nusa Ceningan has some great beach bars and a few beautiful beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches in Nusa Ceningan is Secret Beach, a small beach tucked away from the tourists’ eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent a few hours here and I absolutely loved this place. If you’re planning to visit the Nusa islands, make sure to add Secret Beach to your itinerary! Read below to find out everything you need to know about this place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1. What to expect at Secret Beach, Nusa Ceningan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We parked our scooter at the parking lot near Villa Trevally and then we walked about 5 minutes until we reached the beautiful infinity pool near the Secret Beach. The infinity pool is part of Villa Trevally, but anyone can use it as long as you order from the La Baia restaurant for a minimum of IDR 100 K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We chose to enjoy the pool for a few moments and we ordered an English Breakfast and a smoothie. The food was ok, nothing extraordinary but it was worth it given the views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were the only tourists enjoying this fabulous pool. The waves crashed close to the edge of the pool, making me feel like I was actually swimming in the ocean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secret Beach is located inside a small bay. Each side of the bay is covered in thick forest and the water is bright blue. What I loved about this place is that it’s still a hidden gem. Unlike Mushroom Beach or Dream Beach in Nusa Lembongan, Secret Beach Nusa Ceningan is a hidden corner of paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t want to use the pool or eat something at the restaurant, head directly to the Secret Beach. There is no fee to visit the beach and enjoy its natural beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Swimming at Secret Beach, Nusa Ceningan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Keep in mind that swimming at Secret Beach is a bit difficult because the beach is rocky. I recommend bringing some water shoes. For swimming, we chose the pool at the nearby resort. Even though the minimum spending is IDR 100 K, I think the price is worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if swimming is a bit difficult, you can lay your towel on the beach and enjoy the sun. There are also a few palm trees to keep you shade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. How to get around Nusa Ceningan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nusa Ceningan is linked to Nusa Lembongan through a bridge. To explore both islands, I recommend renting a scooter. You can rent one directly from the port when you arrive from Bali. However, if you’re planning to spend the night in Nusa Ceningan, you can rent your scooter from your accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It costs around IDR 80 K per day to rent a scooter, plus gas (1 litre usually costs IDR 10 K). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Where to stay in Nusa Ceningan or Nusa Lembongan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since you can easily travel between Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan, you can stay on either of these islands. Nusa Lembongan is bigger and has more accommodation options, but you can find plenty of options in Ceningan too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
