<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nAs soon as I arrived at the Blue Lagoon, I was amazed by this place’s natural beauty. In this guide, I’ll share everything you need to know about Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan, from location to things to do and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
1. About Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
After visiting Mahana Point, a nice warung with cliff jumping platforms, we drove our motorbike for about 100 meters and then we parked it on the side of the road. From that point, we couldn’t see anything, just some bushes and vegetation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We walked about 50 meters towards the ocean and there it was, the beautiful Blue Lagoon. The first thing that amazed me was the water’s color. It was milky-blue, unlike anything I’ve seen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nEven if we couldn’t actually reach the beach, we stood on the side of the cliff in awe. This small bay in Nusa Ceningan simply took our breath away. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We lifted our drone to take some pictures and from above, the Blue Lagoon looked even more spectacular. In my opinion, this is one of the best things to do in Nusa Ceningan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I noticed that some big hotels were being built right on the edge of the cliff. Soon, it will be more and more difficult to enjoy this beautiful place without having to pay for a hotel room. I think it’s a shame. Wild places are the most beautiful ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nYou can head to the right side of the bay, where you’ll find some beautiful viewpoints. Also, if you follow the road to Driftwood Bar, you’ll see a path on the right side of the road. Follow it for a few minutes and you’ll arrive at an incredible viewpoint that nobody knows about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We took some photos here and admired the views with no person in sight. After that, we stopped at Driftwood Bar for a short break. We had something to drink and then we called it a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n2. Blue Lagoon cliff jumping<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
There are a few cliff jumping points at Blue Lagoon, at different heights. I only recommend cliff jumping to those who know how to swim. The currents here can be pretty powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, if you plan to cliff jump, check the tide and make sure that the water is deep enough. There are no lifeguards in the area, so you’re pretty much by yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nYou can find a few jumping spots on the left side of the lagoon. Since there is no lifeguard in the area, I recommend bringing a friend with you if you plan to cliff jump. You never know what can happen and it’s better to have somebody by your side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since I’m not into adventure sports, I didn’t try cliff jumping at Blue Lagoon. I have to admit that I’m afraid of heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Blue Lagoon Nusa Ceningan entrance fee & opening hours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Blue Lagoon is open 24\/7 and there is no entrance fee to visit it. Usually, the place isn’t very crowded so you can visit it any time of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Where is the Blue Lagoon?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Blue Lagoon is located in the southern part of Nusa Ceningan. Nusa Ceningan is a small island, located on the eastern side of Bali. You can easily reach it by boat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n5. How to get to Nusa Ceningan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
There are many daily boats from Bali to Nusa Lembongan. Once you get to Nusa Lembongan, you can rent a motorbike or take a taxi to explore both islands. They’re connected through a bridge and access from one to another is very easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As an alternative, you can book a guided tour from Bali to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. These day trips include stops at all the must-see tourist attractions and the prices are affordable. Here are some of the best tours, with excellent reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. How to get around Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nIf you want a DIY type of experience, I recommend renting a motorbike once you get on one of these islands. If you’re only planning to stay one day, you can rent a motorbike from the port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you plan to spend more days in Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan, I recommend renting your motorbike from your accommodation. This is the option that we chose. When it comes to prices, expect to pay somewhere around IDR 80 K per day for the motorbike plus gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Where to stay in Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Since getting from one island to the other is easy, thanks to the Yellow Bridge, you can stay on either of these islands. There are many accommodation options, from budget hostels to luxurious villas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I searched for the best accommodation options for every budget and here are my recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- Budget – Sunset Garden<\/a> – <\/strong>beautiful and spacious rooms, awesome pool, friendly staff, good amenities<\/li>
- Mid-Range – The Acala Shri Sedana <\/a>– <\/strong>incredible infinity pool with a view, spacious and modern rooms, good amenities<\/li>
- Luxury – Blue Lagoon Avia Villas<\/a> – <\/strong>excellent location, incredible pool with a view, modern and luxurious villas, private pool<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
8. Final thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Blue Lagoon is an incredible place in Nusa Ceningan. Unfortunately, the natural beauty of this place is starting to disappear due to the many constructions and hotels nearby. I recommend visiting this place as soon as possible, while it still retains its natural charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When visiting Nusa Ceningan, don’t forget to add the Secret Beach to your itinerary. It’s a stunning place, hidden away from the tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
