If you’re looking for the best beaches in Siargao, Pacifico Beach is definitely one of them! Sitting in the shade of tall palm trees, this beautiful beach is one of the preferred places on the island for surfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But don’t worry! Even if you’re not into surfing, you can still stop at Pacifico Beach for a relaxing evening and a good swim. When you think about hidden paradises, you imagine a secluded beach with white sand and turquoise water and this is exactly what Pacifico Beach offers to its visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the hidden gems in Siargao, this beach is a must-see if you’re spending more than 3 days on the island. After going on island hopping tours<\/a><\/strong> and visiting the famous Bent Palm Tree<\/a><\/strong>, head to Pacifico Beach for a more relaxed atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this guide, I’ll share with you everything you need to know when visiting Pacifico. Let’s get to it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1. Pacifico Beach – What to expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Driving North from General Luna for about one hour is definitely worth it! You’ll arrive at this beautiful white stretch of sand with incredibly clear water, guarded by tall palm trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Famous among surfers and tourists searching for hidden gems, Pacifico Beach is one of my favourite places in Siargao. Unlike other beaches in General Luna, here I had the chance to really enjoy nature away from the crowds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As much as I loved General Luna with its restaurants, souvenirs shops and hotels, it was nice to find this quiet beach and get away from it all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Near Pacifico, along the Siargao Circumferential Road, you’ll find a dense jungle of palm trees. Make sure to stop and take a few photos like the one below. It’s a view you don’t want to miss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Surfing at Pacifico Beach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most tourists who come here come for one reason only – surfing. Even if Cloud 9 is the most popular surfing location in Siargao, the waves at Pacifico can be bigger than Cloud 9 and they offer a longer ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing to keep in mind when planning to surf at Pacifico Beach is that the waves here are left, whereas Cloud 9 has right waves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To rent a surfboard, head to Huna Surf House<\/a><\/strong>. For half-day, you’ll have to pay 300 PHP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When is the best time to surf at Pacifico?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The best months to surf at Pacifico Beach are September, October and November. Avoid at all costs the months of June, July and August when the waves are flat, same as all around the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re planning to visit Pacifico Beach in December, November, January, February or May, keep in mind that surfing is not guaranteed. It all depends on the wind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Pacifico Beach for non-surfers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re reading this, surfing is not your thing. It’s not for me either but I still had a great time at Pacifico Siargao. I laid my towel in the shade of a palm tree, closed my eyes and enjoyed the breeze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a few minutes, I headed straight into the water. When I visited, the tide was very low so the water wasn’t suitable for swimming. If you really want to swim, make sure to check out the tide<\/a><\/strong> beforehand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After exploring the beach, you can head to the village for something to eat. I recommend eating at Common Ground. They serve delicious fruit bowls and pancakes at an affordable price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re craving tacos, head to Lolo’s Taco. They’re super-delicious!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. How to get to Pacifico Beach, Siargao<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t feel comfortable driving a motorbike, you can rent a tricycle to get to Pacifico Beach. Depending on the length of the trip, the price can be between $5 and $10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I recommend renting a motorbike. If your accommodation is near Pacifico, you can get a tricycle from the airport and then rent a motorbike from your accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually, it costs 500 PHP to rent a motorbike for a day in Siargao. If you’re renting it for more days, you can slightly negotiate this price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re driving from General Luna, follow the Siargao Circumferential Road to Pacifico Beach. The ride will take about one hour without stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, along the way, I recommend stopping at the Coconut Trees Viewing Deck and the Bent Palm Tree Swing<\/a><\/strong>. Another famous photography location is the road itself which is surrounded by tall palm trees. Don’t forget your camera home!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Pacifico Beach Resort Siargao<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tucked away between palm trees, Pacifico Beach Resort<\/a><\/strong> is a small corner of paradise, where surfers and tourists can spend the night. With rooms starting at $30, Pacifico Beach Resort has beautiful villas right near the beach, with amazing views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel is family-friendly and I love that they offer babysitting services, day and night. With an awesome restaurant serving delicious Filipino and international meals and daily yoga classes, you’ll experience a relaxing stay at this resort in Siargao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Where to stay in Siargao<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apart from Pacifico Beach Resort<\/a><\/strong>, I recommend staying at Bamboo Garden <\/a><\/strong>in Pacifico, Siargao. However, if you’re looking for accommodation in General Luna below are a few recommendations, for each budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
